Meet your doula

My name is Mikala Harrison. I am a DONA-trained childbirth doula serving southern Mississippi.

During the 2020 pandemic, I chose to give birth to my first baby at home. That experience unearthed my love for mothers and birth work. My desire is that every birthing mother has a birth experience where she feels safe, comfortable, and respected. I’m here to educate and inform you so that you can make the choices that feel most right for you and your baby. I will advocate, love, and hold space for you as you work to bring your baby into the world. Birth changes you. My heart’s desire is that you look back on your birth experience with fondness and remember it as beautiful, transformative, and empowering.
